HUMAN and trade union rights delegation
Colombia | May 27-June 5, 2011
National Lawyers Guild and Alliance for Global Justice have joined together a delegation to investigate the human and trade union rights situation in Columbia. The Delegation will visit with political prisoners, leaders of trade unions, human rights and women's rights defenders, leaders of non-governmental organizations, members of indigenous and Afro-Colombian communities, government representatives, members of the Colombian legal system and others involved in the search of meaningful peace process.

Upon return the delegation will write and publish a comprehensive report on the state of human and trade union rights in Colombia, the prospects for peace, and how these are effected by US policies.
The estimated cost is about $1200, excluding air fare.
