NLG Hosts Annual #Law4ThePeople Convention
The National Lawyers Guild (NLG) hosted its annual #Law4ThePeopleConvention in Detroit on April 9 and 10. The event celebrates NLG members and supporters whose work advances human rights and the rights of ecosystems over property interests.
This year’s honorees include retired law professor Katherine Franke, who founded Columbia University’s Center for Gender & Sexuality Law; immigration attorney Marc Van Der Hout; NLG Legal Worker Vice President Matthew McLoughlin; New York University Wilf Scholar Samantha Santoro; and National Lawyers Guild past and current president Suzanne Adely.
