Today's law students are tomorrows progressive lawyers. NLG Colorado is committed to encouraging and supporting law students as they find themselves moving into their careers. "Because I was involved in NLG as a law student, I had an automatic community of friends and mentors when I moved to Denver. Even when I am weary from the fight, I love having the support of others doing similar work," said Jes Jones. While a traditional legal education teaches the manipulation of abstract principles to maintain the status quo, a progressive legal education stresses the importance of thinking critically and creatively, using the law as a tool to further social change.
